Design Statement

For this stage design, I aim to create something different from the usual. Why should the audience always be sitting still? Is it possible to get them involved? Thus, this stage design was born. I hope the audience can fully immerse themselves in the drama they are watching, using various stage effects such as smoke and water droplets to make them feel like they are stepping into the world of the play. The audience can follow the actors, truly becoming a part of the drama, not just actors. The entire stage is tailor-made for my script, with expansive walking spaces that allow the audience to freely explore, stand, and move around. The angled design creates a sense of the unknown about gravity, prompting the audience to pay more attention to their senses, enabling them to fully engage in the theatrical experience. As sensations gradually amplify, changes in lighting, atmosphere, and smoke will further stimulate the audience to immerse themselves in the roles within the play.
